AWARDS OF EXCELLENCE

The Home Depot Foundation created the Awards of Excellence program in order to identify, recognize and showcase the outstanding and innovative work of nonprofit organizations across the country in the areas of affordable housing built responsibly and public-private partnerships using urban forestry strategically to create healthier more vibrant communities.

The overarching goals of the Award of Excellence program is not only to celebrate the achievements of local organizations, but also to provide opportunities for our nonprofit partners – both new and existing – to share their experiences, key learnings, challenges and best practices. 

The Foundation hopes these signature programs will also inspire other nonprofit housing developers to integrate responsible building design into their projects as well as increase the public’s general knowledge, understanding and appreciation of the overwhelming benefits of both affordable housing and community trees in creating healthier more livable communities.
