Awards Presentation Event Awards of Excellence for Community Trees The Home Depot Foundation is very pleased to present the Awards of Excellence in Community Trees in partnership with the U.S. Conference of Mayors. The recipients will be announced at the 76th U.S. Conference of Mayors Annual Meeting in Miami, FL on June 26, 2008. Award recipients are selected because they exemplify successful collaborations between nonprofit organizations and cities that demonstrate that healthy, safe and economically vibrant communities can be achieved through innovative and strategic planning and successful implementation of tree planting programs. A winner and first runner-up will be announced in two population categories: cities with populations over 100,000 and those with populations under 100,000.
