The Home Depot Foundation and the American Red Cross Work Together to Help Communities Prepare for and Recover from Natural Disasters
At The Home Depot, our associates are passionate about helping their neighbors during times of need. That’s why The Home Depot Foundation has been a longstanding partner to the American Red Cross and its nationwide network of chapters and blood centers.
When disaster strikes, The Home Depot is among the first organizations on the scene, making sure our customers have the supplies, resources and support they need to rebuild their homes and communities. We are proud to have provided these critically needed tools and supplies to Red Cross disaster relief workers across the U.S. during hundreds of fires, floods, tornados and hurricanes over the years.
Even before disaster strikes, preparedness is vital to The Home Depot, and finding experts in this field is critical to our collective success. Therefore, we turned to the Red Cross to educate our customers on how to prepare for natural disasters. We also are proud to be a $500,000 member of the Annual Disaster Giving Program so that the Red Cross is prepared to provide relief to communities well before disaster strikes.
