NeighborWorks® America (NA)
Formerly known as the Neighborhood Reinvestment Corporation, NeighborWorks America has been strengthening communities and transforming lives across America since 1978 by supporting innovative local partnerships consisting of residents, businesses and government collectively known as the NeighborWorks network. There are now 225 local NeighborWorks affiliates serving more than 2,700 communities across America stimulating more than $1.9 billion in community reinvestment annually. In building and sustaining the NeighborWorks network, NA relies on a series of highly specialized capital corporations- Neighborhood Housing Services of America, Neighborhood Capital Corporation, and RNA Community Builders.
The Home Depot Foundation is providing NA grant support for its Green Building/Healthy Homes courses offered through the NeighborWorks Training Institute and its Green Building Grant Program. The Foundation is also the exclusive Home Improvement sponsor of 2006 National NeighborWorks Week.
