Katy Elder
Senior Manager, Community Affairs

Katy serves as Senior Manager, Community Affairs for The Home Depot’s associate volunteer program, Team Depot, and oversees strategy and program implementation for the enterprise. Along with these responsibilities, Katy creates training and communication materials for program captains at retail stores, manages nonprofit relationships and coordinates the quarterly donation process for The Home Depot stores around the country. Her work supports The Home Depot Foundation’s mission to provide homes for working families that are healthy to live in and affordable to own.

She originally joined The Home Depot in June 2002 as part of the associate communications team, a department within The Home Depot’s corporate communications and external affairs organization. Prior to The Home Depot, Katy directed creative programming for global communications companies supporting various Fortune 500 corporations.

Katy currently sits on the Board of Directors for the Metro Atlanta Corporate Volunteer Council and the Points of Light & Hands On Network’s Corporate Council. She is a graduate of the University of Virginia with a bachelor’s degree in French language and literature and lives in Atlanta.
