TEAM DEPOT
Giving back is a fundamental value of The Home Depot and a passion for its associates. Through The Home Depot Foundation and its ongoing partnerships with nonprofit organizations, The Home Depot donates millions of hours, tools and supplies each year to community service projects.
Through Team Depot, The Home Depot’s associate-led volunteer program, associates work side-by-side to create life-long, meaningful relationships between the Company, our neighbors and our associates. Formalized in 1992, Team Depot programs bring together volunteerism, do-it-yourself expertise, product donations and monetary grants as a way to support the communities where the associates live and work.
Every The Home Depot retail store in the U.S., Canada and Mexico has a Team Depot program and Team Depot volunteers. Projects are led by Team Depot Captains (trained volunteer leaders) who also serve as our ambassadors to the community.
Team Depot is recognized nationally as having developed and implemented best practices for corporate volunteer programming.
For more information about Team Depot in your neighborhood and how they can support your nonprofit organization, please contact your local The Home Depot store manager or Team Depot Captain.

Our partnership escalated in 2004 when Hands On helped execute the Company’s 25th anniversary celebration with a Week of Service. In 2005, this success led to a Corporate Month of Service and the launch of the Corporate Service Council, an alliance of CEOs and civic leaders committed to leveraging the collective power of service. We continued our work with Points of Light & Hands On Network and successfully completed Corporate Month of Service programs again in 2006 and 2007.
Over the past few years, we have grown our partnership with Points of Light & Hands On Network, achieving new thresholds of success that are resulting in real change in communities, neighborhoods and individual lives around the country. In the true spirit of partnership, we have pushed each other to leverage the resources and unique competencies that we each bring to the relationship. |
