Our Pledge
In 2007, The Home Depot Foundation committed to investing $400 million in grants over the next 10 years, which will result in the development of 100,000 affordable, healthy homes for working families and the planting and preservation of more than three million community trees in urban areas.
Our Programs
The Home Depot Foundation supports its mission to build affordable homes for working families and improve the overall health of our communities by focusing on three signature programs:
Affordable Housing Built Responsibly – The Home Depot Foundation’s signature grant program, Affordable Housing Built Responsibly, invests millions of dollars each year in nonprofit organizations whose missions align with the Foundation's interests in supporting the production and preservation of affordable, efficient and healthy housing.
Awards of Excellence – The Awards of Excellence program was created in order to identify, recognize and showcase the outstanding and innovative work being done by nonprofit organizations across the country.
Team Depot – Managed by The Home Depot Foundation, Team Depot is the Company’s associate led and managed volunteer force that meets community needs through hands-on service. Team Depot volunteers have contributed millions of hours of volunteer service to communities throughout North America.
We Give Back…
Locally and Nationally…
The Home Depot and The Home Depot Foundation have a long standing tradition of giving back where our associates live and work. Through store coupons, division-based grants and partnerships with national organizations, we are able to support the community-based efforts of our nonprofit partners nationally and locally.
Our Time and Talents…
Through Team Depot, associates work side-by-side to create life-long, meaningful relationships among the Company, our neighbors and our associates. Whether we are building a playground or planting trees, our associates bring together volunteerism and do-it-yourself expertise to support the communities where we live and work.
Our Resources and Products…
The Framing Hope program is an integral part of how The Home Depot makes a difference in our communities and our environment. Products donated through this program are kept out of landfills and used to rebuild nearby neighborhoods and improve the lives of fellow citizens.
